Writhlington holds an annual Apprenticeship Fair in October.  This fair brings together a wide range of employers, training providers, college staff and tutors, and representatives from the National Apprenticeship Service.  This event provides an opportunity for any students and parents from Year 10 upwards to discuss career opportunities face to face.  Once a student enters Sixth Form they are provided access to Unifrog; a sophisticated searchable database that provides details of all available apprenticeships in the UK.

Unifrog is an award-winning university course and apprenticeship choosing platform and makes it it easy for Dragonfly Sixth students to choose the best five university courses and/or apprenticeships.

The tool pulls together an unparalleled breadth of data from sources such as The Guardian, UCAS, and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, allowing students to compare courses and apprenticeships side by side, and also helps students avoid common application mistakes, such as not choosing universities offering a range of entry requirements. Access Unifrog by visiting – https://www.unifrog.org/.
