The Sixth Form Prefect Team has organised a number of charitable and social events across the school.  Each year the Team organises a Christmas Party in Bath and the Year 13 Prom at the end of A level exams.  The team also co-ordinates smaller events in the school – examples include selling roses for Valentine’s Day, organising a film Fright Night for Halloween and Sixth Form quizzes.  Last year over £3000 was raised by the Sixth Form to support a wide range of charities chosen by the students.

“I am really enjoying my A levels at Writhlington and how my subjects are interconnected and go so well together.  My teachers are really passionate about their subjects and they are able to help with any queries we have.  I also like the smaller class sizes in sixth form with other students who are enthusiastic and invested in the subject.”  – Freddie Pascoe

“Since moving from the lower school into the sixth form, I have noticed a real change in the study environment provided to us, and subsequently a really positive change in myself. Writhlington Sixth Form offers a very unique and rewarding self-driven learning atmosphere that, coupled with countless extra curricular clubs and trips (Ten Tors, 3 peaks, DofE etc.), really allows you to be yourself and tailor your experience to whatever person you want to be. Those who want to learn, explore and better themselves are not only free to do so but encouraged by the extremely supportive staff, and as a result it makes Writhlington Sixth form a great community to be a part of.” – Isaac Soccorsy
