The life skills and PSHE programme covers a range of topics such as sex education; life at university; apprenticeships; managing money, developing interview skills and careers information. Important current affairs are also discussed including LGBT, Human Rights and Politics to ensure if you study with us you are well informed and accepting of a variety of views.
Students absolutely love – and are inspired by – our annual TEDx style event! A variety of outside speakers are invited to the school to talk to the students about their experiences; these include former students, top athletes, charitable organisations, successful business leaders and many other interesting and successful people who come to give insight into what got them to where they are today.
The National Citizen Scheme is a fantastic start to the Sixth Form. You will take part in a week long residential doing a variety of exhilarating and adventurous team-building activities. Once back in school you work on community projects to raise money for charities and develop leadership and teamwork skills. This work leads to a certificate recognised by many employers and universities.
