We have an extensive extra-curricular offer, providing our students with an exciting array of opportunities to develop their own interests. From sports to music, performing arts to expeditions and volunteering, everyone can enrich their lives at Dragonfly Sixth.
Wednesday afternoons are solely for wellbeing, health and fun! You can choose from a variety of activities over a set number of weeks as a chance to switch off from the pressure of your studies, get to meet new people and learn new skills. The activities currently on offer include:
You are encouraged to get involved in the many other enrichment activities on offer such as Duke of Edinburgh, Ten Tors, The Three Peaks and Micro Tyco plus many others. We run international school trips to Iceland, New York, Rome, Berlin, Naples, Rwanda and China. The opportunities are endless and are out there for you to take full advantage!
‘Since I started Sixth Form for I have had 15 weekends away. I have taken part and completed Ten Tors 55; have been to look at three universities and am applying to Edinburgh; have been on two CCF Camps, a 3 day NCS residential and assisted with Silver DofE. I have also been on a 4 day Geography trip to Bournemouth, undertaken my Gold DofE practice expedition in the Lake District for a week, achieved the Three Peaks Challenge in 23 hours 29 minutes and have been on the Geography trip to Naples.
