This year Writhlington Sixth Form celebrated another excellent set of A Level results, 71% of students achieved an A* to B grade.
Forty five percent of all grades were A* to B and 75% were A* to C. Many achieved truly outstanding results; Sam Burry attained A*A*A* and a place at Homerton College, Cambridge University to read History and Politics; Chris Sinanan achieved A*AAB and is now reading Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Bath; Rebecca Ager achieved results of A*AAB and a place at University of Durham and Joe Grainger-Hull achieved AAA and is now enjoying a gap year.
Applied subjects also produced fantastic results. Tara Booker achieved four Distinction *’s, and Emma Smith attained three Distinction *’s and a Merit in her subjects, with Tilly Taylor and Lucy White getting 3 Distinction *’s and a grade C in their subjects.
Students have places at prestigious universities including Cambridge, Durham, Exeter, Cardiff, Manchester, Southampton, Bath and Reading and are studying subjects including Forensic Computing, Biological Sciences, Journalism, Business Geography, History, International Relations, Aerospace Engineering, Nursing, Zoology, Psychology and many others.
