We are certainly happy to be back in school and to have our students in lessons and learning. It is different from school before lockdown; everyone is enjoying being back and continuing to learn.
Several reports in the news have erroneously implied students didn’t spend much time learning. This was not true of our students with the majority working hard in lessons. Covid-19 has forced everyone to be that little more creative, to take risks, to think outside the box. Our students rose to the challenge and the summer concert epitomized their ‘can do’ attitude. They worked hard, holding virtual meetings and practice sessions alongside their lessons. Each student became their own sound engineer and video recorder. In the end, Writhlington and Mendip Studio School students shared their fantastic summer concert.
The successful concert captured the mood of our unusual summer. We are delighted to share this allowing you to see the talent our teachers help to develop.
