March 28th, 2019 | School News

The season finished with a well deserved victory against a spirited Somervale team. The first half was an intense affair with Writhlington dominating territory and possession. Josh opened the scoring with a well worked goal that started from Writhlington’s back four. Further possession resulted in a well worked goal for Danny who struck a lovely goal from 18 yards that beat the keeper.

Somervale came back into the game and scored a goal just before half-time.

The second half was a scrappy affair with little chances created. Writhlington saw the game out and held on for the victory.

Well done to the boys for their commitment and training during the season, there is a great squad of players ready for next year!

Man of the match: Brennan for his defensive work and covering during the match.
