Sixth Form students Molly and Helena enjoyed a day at Biology in Action.
The science event comprised a day of lectures from organisations as diverse as Cancer Research, Genomics England, Everest Laboratories and the academic publisher Taylor & Francis.
My friend and I took up an opportunity advertised to us by our biology teacher, Dr Sheppard and Mrs Pascoe – Head of Careers. We got the train to London and made our way to the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster where we attended a Biology in Action day, which consisted of a number of biology lectures from well known scientists. This super curricular event was really interesting and has inspired me to look deeper into the biology sector and reassured my ambition to be a scientist.
