To give our new students the best possible start, we have organised a series of orientation events to help familiarise them with the school and Transition team.
Question and Answer Session – Monday 18 and Monday 25 March – 6pm – 7pm
This is an opportunity to meet the Transition team and be provided with information regarding our transition process. The Question and Answer evenings will take place on Monday 18 and Monday 25 March at 6pm in the Dragonfly Theatre. There is no need to contact us as to which evening you would like to attend, please just report to reception on arrival.
School Uniform Fitting/Measuring – Monday 25 March – 3.30pm – 7pm
On Monday 25 March, the company that provides our uniform will be in school between 3.30 and 7pm. They will be here to measure your son/daughter to enable us to plan what uniform will be required later in the year and therefore make sure we have the correct sizes available for you. I would appreciate you and your son/daughter attending so that the stock ordering process goes as smoothly as possible.
You will be able to purchase uniform from July/August (full details will follow closer to the time) and uniform will then be available from our new uniform shop situated next to our Reception area in the Main School building.
Summer School – Thursday 25 & Friday 26 July 2019
Summer school will run from Thursday 25 to Friday 26 July 2018. Due to the fact that we are no longer funded to run summer school, there will be a nominal charge for summer school this year. Further information will follow.
Student Induction Day – Thursday 4 July – 8.40am – 3pm
All new Year 6 students joining us in September are invited to join us for the Induction Day where they will familiarise themselves with the school and attend taster lessons.
Students should be dropped off and picked up via the student drop off and pick up point outside the Sports Centre at 8.40am and 3pm. Upon arrival they will be met by staff and will be accompanied to the Key Stage 3 courtyard.
Students must also wear their primary school uniform and bring their PE kit as well as a pencil case containing pen, pencil, ruler and rubber (we do not allow Tippex or other correcting fluids in school).
Students have the chance to experience our wonderful school meals. Students have the choice of bringing their own packed lunch or purchasing a hot meal from the Dining Room. If your son/daughter would like to purchase a hot meal, they must bring £2.60 which will cover the cost of a main meal, bottle of water and pudding.
Parents’ Information Evening – Thursday 4 July – 6.00pm – 7.00pm
I would also like to invite all new Year 7 Parent/Carers to join us at our Information Evening, starting at 6pm in the Dragonfly Theatre.
