We would like to invite your son/daughter to attend our Year 5 and 6 “Communications Taster Session” that we will be running on Thursday 28 June 2018.
These sessions are intended to give your son/daughter an opportunity to use our state-of-the-art facilities and provide them with an exceptional learning experience, and most importantly to help the transition process from primary to secondary school. We understand that the move from primary to secondary can be daunting for some children, so our taster sessions are designed to allow your child to get to know our staff and school building, make friends with students from other primary schools and experience a range of the exciting subjects that are on offer at Writhlington.
This session will run from 4pm to 5.20pm at Writhlington School on Thursday 28 June 2018. Note: We ask that parents and carers arrive no earlier than 3.30pm due to an event on this day.Modern Foreign Languages – We are going to explore a familiar film and identify key information as well as looking at strategies for grasping new vocabulary.
English – Using drama to explore language and write a series of poems on a specific topic.
Chinese – A chance to experience a taste of the Chinese language and culture, delivered by our current visitors from China.
