What does your future hold?

It can be difficult to decide what to do after you finish your GCSEs and young people are faced with the many options the big wide world of Further Education and Apprenticeships have to offer.

Students flocked from across Somerset and Wiltshire to attend this year’s Apprenticeship Fair held at Writhlington School.

Some of the UK’s largest companies including BAE Systems, Advetec Global, HMRC, Sirona, Wessex Water and Dyson plus local colleges were on hand to give expert advice on the pros and cons of Apprenticeships and the opportunities available to those wishing to step into the world of work.

Year 11 student Sarah Moore said:

“I spoke to Wessex Water about the different types of Apprenticeships they had and it was really fascinating. There was so much to look into so I have decided to attend their Open day next month so I can find out even more. As I come to the end of my GCSEs I have a big decision to make and I feel much more prepared having attended the Apprenticeship Fair to make a decision that is right for me and my future.”
