Writhlington Welcome Young Classical Artist Trust

October 4th, 2016 | Creative Arts Sixth Form

Writhlington welcomed Classical Guitarist, Sean Shibe, to the Atrium continuing the popular lunchtime live music sessions.

Thanks to the support and work of Lady Evelyn Strasburger, students at Writhlington have had the opportunity to work with the Young Classical Artist Trust, an organisation that supports and celebrates up and coming classical musicians across the country.

Students were invited to take part in a workshop held at the Dragonfly Theatre before enjoying a private lunchtime recital in the Atrium.

Head of Music Joanne Briggs commented:

‘“We are very luck to be able to offer these exciting musical opportunities to our students. It is hugely inspiring for those who wish to follow a career in classical performance as well as those who are learning to play an instrument.”

This week students will welcome international Jazz Trombonist, Dennis Rollins.
