Dragonfly Sixth Form student, James Tolfree, has been taking the Taekwondo world by storm as he fought his way to the World Championships.

James, who trains at Bath Taekwondo, won Gold in 2014 at his first ever competition and just two years on, he has had a succession of wins that have led to a place at the World Championships, to be held at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham later this year.

James trains twice a week and volunteers to help train and inspire other young people in his spare time.  He has claimed two Silver medals from the British Championships and two Gold medals from Welsh Nationals and is now preparing for this biggest challenge to date.

James Commented:

‘I am really excited about the World Championships and am feeling quite calm at the moment. It is such an achievement just to be invited to compete and that it takes a little pressure off, I already feel like I have achieved so much.  I am going to give it my best and hope to do my club proud.’
