We braved the wet weather for a match against Chew Valley school.

The game got underway and Writhlington quickly took possession of the ball. We were on the counter attack but Will Rawlings neatly played a pass to Will Lacey, who chipped it over to our top striker Evander Grubb, who scored a cracker of a goal.

Not long after, Harry Matthews skillfully played the ball to our right winger James Hare, who skipped past a few defenders before laying it off to the striker who let it fly again.

With a 2-0 lead, Tom Ellis Rickets passed the ball to our solid left back Daniel Orford who set up a hat trick goal for Evander.

Despite some superb saves from goalkeeper Mattia Senatore, Chew Valley fought back and scored a goal bringing the score to 4-1. Tom Ellis Rickets scored the final goal of the game with a quick ball in the top corner  5 – 1 to Writhlington.
