The photographs taken at Writhlington School’s production of Les Miserables have been selected to represent the Josef Weinberger Schools Edition of Les Miserables in Photographs latest brochure.

If you are looking to perform a musical then the Josef Weinberger website and brochure is an ultimate licensing guide for any ameteur group looking to perform some of the world’s most best loved musicals.

Amongst those, only licensed for schools, is Les Miserables which this year celebrates 30th years in the West End.

Head of Drama, James Moore said:

“Merlin Theatre Director, Claudia Pepler, who reviewed our show, saw a post on social media and thought our show would make a great entry. Oly Curtis, a former pupil had come to take our photos and the quality of them was incredible. He really captured the essence of the show and I thought they would be ideal for selection.’

Writhlington also sent their teaser trailer, filmed and produced by Ben Curd.  Josef Weinberger Ltd were astounded by the professionalism of the performances and the quality of the show commenting “Your video is the talk of the office today, we were blown away – we’ve had people in tears. Thanks so much for sharing!”.

Theatre Manager, Roxy Thomas said:

“We are thrilled to be selected. The students, Music and Drama departments worked incredibly hard on the production with months of intense rehearsals and we are really excited to see our hard work in real print and be sent to hundreds of schools across the country.’
