Macmillan Coffee Morning Success

September 1st, 2015 | School News Sixth Form

Writhlington students and staff joined in with the Macmillan Cancer World’s Biggest Coffee Morning last week raising over £300 in less than an hour.

Students and staff provided their very best ‘Great British Bake Off’ style bakes before opening the doors to invited guests; celebrating and raising awareness for Macmillan Cancer support. Students were joined by residents of Hanover Court and school Governors before offering the rest of the cakes and biscuits to students during break time.

Fundraising co-ordinator?? Emma Sage said:

‘It was a really lovely morning and I was very proud of the staff, students and community for their contributions and support during the morning. We sold out in record time and raised a fantastic amount of money for charity’.
