Writhlington Sixth Form Student, Laura Wiltshire, took part in the prestigious Cambridge Chemistry Challenge receiving a Silver Award and placing in top 16% in the country.
This competition aims to stretch and challenge students interested in chemistry with questions Set by an experienced team of teachers and university chemists. Questions begin at AS Level and challenge students as far as Degree and PHD level.
This really was an exceptional opportunity to stretch my knowledge and take part in something very exciting. You are competing against some of the brightest students across the UK.
With the opening of the new Mendip Studio School; specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, Writhlington and Mendip hope to enter a record number of students for next years competition.
