Students develop their understanding of the world around them through their work in the Humanities Learning Zone. Year 7, 8 & 9 students follow courses in Geography, History and Philosophy & Belief. From Year 10 to Year 13 a number of students continue with their studies of Geography and History.

Students in Year 10 and Year 11 study short courses in Philosophy & Belief and Citizenship.

Numerous educational visits help students to broaden their horizons, with regular field studies within the UK as well as residential visits abroad. In recent years, students have visited Germany, Poland, Italy, Iceland and China as part of their Humanities studies.
