FAME, The Musical – 18,19,20 January

Based on the Oscar winning musical film and hugely successful TV series, Fame – The Musical is back – and it’s “gonna live forever”!

Writhlington and Mendip Students are renowned for their exceptional creative arts performances.  This year we have welcomed a new Head of Drama, Sophie Whitehead, who brings to life the sensational 1980s classic ‘FAME’.

At the world famous High School for Performing Arts in New York, young talented hopefuls undertake the journey of their lives.  Ambition, triumph, heartbreak and romance conspire to steer them off course and the pressure is too much for some but they are determined to live forever and they rocket through breathtaking dance routines and show stopping tunes.  Fame is the feel-good sensation that you will never forget!

Head of Drama, Sophie Whitehead commented:

‘We have some incredibly talented students here and they have all have been working very hard. Their dedication and commitment has been exemplary. There is a big mix of year groups and it has been so lovely to see them all working together and supporting each other forming new friendships.

This is real feel good musical and will certainly have you dancing from your seat. Tickets are bound to fly out the door so make sure you book in advance! ‘

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/dragonflytheatre
